Mara ‘Marnie’ Katz, MA, BCBA, COBA is the Founder and Executive Director of Epicenter ABA Therapy.  Marnie earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in Speech and Language Pathology and her Masters degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In 2014, while working toward her BCBA, Marnie joined a small Chicago based ABA company, as their 5th employee. As she was promoted within to their Regional Director of Chicago, Marnie was a key contributor to the company’s growth. Marnie left her position as the Regional Director in October 2017.  The company had grown to over 300 employees. In January 2018, Marnie founded Epicenter ABA in Cleveland, Ohio. Epicenter has expanded to over 20 full-time employees including three BCBAs and continues to grow. She specializes in working with a wide range of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or co-morbid neurological disorder (I.e. ADHD, Mood Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Blind, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, PDD-NOS) using evidence based treatment, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Marnie’s dedication and work supporting the autism community in Northeast Ohio has only just begun.

Alyssa Jansen, M.Ed | Regional Manager, BCBA, COBA

Alyssa began providing 1:1 in home, ABA therapy 14+ years ago while in her undergraduate program at Cleveland State University.  Since then, she has gained experience through working at a center based program and has worked in various schools providing consultation services to clients who have been mainstreamed, as well as home based settings. She have a passion for learning and has found her career rewarding in that she is constantly learning and educating others. She has a wide range of experience with early intervention services.

Dan holds his Master's Degree in Psychology, Specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. He holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the Ohio University. Dan is currently a practicum student with Epicenter ABA and is working towards his Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. He has 8 plus years experience in a variety of settings working with children with autism.

Nicole is a licensed intervention specialist and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) currently pursuing a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification through Florida Institute. She gained her experience working with children in school, vocational, clinical and in-home settings.  Nicole has been providing in-home ABA therapy and vocational services for 10 years  in the Cleveland area.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from John Carroll University and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Baldwin Wallace University.

Don Lebeau, RBT

Don ran a martial arts school for 30 years to help disadvantaged youth. He also ran youth programs for his church. Don was a Scoutmaster for four different scout troops and spent 5 1/2 years working with special needs children in the community. He is currently a Registered Behavior Technician with Epicenter ABA and educates families on implementing ABA techniques for their children. He also raises corgis. They are cute!

Sara holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Human and Family Services.  She is currently a practicum student working toward her Master’s degree and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from Capella University. Sara has 10 years experience in a variety of professional settings working with children of all ages with autism, ADHD, mental health concerns, and suicidal ideations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 6-year-old son. 

Lexi Suchetka , RBT

Lexi has advocated for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and dual diagnosis since April 2014 at Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Warrensville Developmental Center. She is pursuing her degree in Human Services at Lakeland Community College and plans to pursue her Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Lisa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science in Criminal Justice. She is currently a student at Capella University in their Master's of ABA program. Lisa is a practicum student with Epicenter ABA and is dedicated to building her knowledge base to become a BCBA! Lisa is a mom of 3, and loves being around children.

Arden Jacobs, BT

Behavior Therapist

Arden has worked with children diagnosed with ASD and other developmental disabilities over the years in: residential treatment, shadowing doctors, and volunteer work. Her past employment at the Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Monitoring Unit would also allow her to care for those with DD. She has earned her Master's of Science in Medical Physiology at Case Western Reserve University to pursue greater knowledge in Clinical Neurology. Arden has a passion for learning about the physical brain, psychology, and emotions.
 

Mikaiah Truitt, RBT

Mikaiah has always had a passion for making a difference in people's lives and her dedication for it is apparent in her work as a behavior technician. She is working to attain her bachelors degree in psychology at Cleveland State University. As a lifeguard, Mikaiah spent her time teaching kids from all walks of life how to swim at her community pool, although that was not the only part of her job, it was easily her favorite. In her free time she likes to go to the beach, listen to music, and read.    

Marissa holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. She is currently a practicum student with Epicenter and working towards her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue Global University. She has 4 years of experience working with children in different childcare settings. She has a passion for children and animals and hopes to combine the two in an ABA setting one day as a BCBA. In her free time, she enjoy playing sports, doing adult coloring books, and being around friends and family.

Frankie has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University and is currently a practicum student and Master's program at Ball State University to obtain her BCBA certification. She has been working with children for 7 plus years through various shadowing and volunteer opportunities. Through volunteer experiences within the Cleveland area, she has had experience working with children who were diagnosed with disorders such as ADHD, conduct disorders, and strong emotional disturbances. These experiences have lead her to working with children with Autism using ABA therapy.

Rylee has been working with children professionally for 8 years, and brings that experience to her work with Epicenter. Rylee is studying for her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Addictions Counseling through Ohio University.

Connor has a thirst for continued learning and is driven to be a great therapist.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with coursework in pre-med, Business Management and Finance through Case Western Reserve University.  Connor has a passion and determination  to help empower his clients toward lifelong independence and success.

Anna holds her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Akron. She has experience working as a camp counselor for children with special needs. Anna continues to brings her dedication and passion for helping children learn and grow to her work with Epicenter ABA. She provides the highest quality of care as a behavior therapist with Epicenter!

Cami Lee, RBT

Cami graduated from Ohio University in Spring 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Throughout Cami’s summers while in her undergraduate program, she worked at an extended school year (ESY) camp and fell in love with working with children with special needs. Cami is currently in graduate school at Kent State University working towards her Master’s of Education as well as her Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. She hopes to use her experiences and skills learned throughout this experience of being an RBT to be a better school psychologist in the future!

Tariel has earned her associates degree in Human Resources from Cuyahoga Community College. She is planning to go back for a second degree in small business and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources. She has put in hundreds of hours in volunteer work for her community and has helped raise thousands of dollars for many local charities. Tariel is extremely passionate about people and loves to be part of the process of helping kids and people grow.

We offer full time salary roles that allows those seeking indirect hours to grow with us! Our goal is to prepare our practicum students for becoming the most competent BCBA's!
